OPEN FOR FLIGHTS AGAIN

After three months of work, on 27 October Linate will reopen for its passengers. Construction work will continue until 2021 for a completely new airport.

THE FUTURE STARTS
WITH A CONSTRUCTION SITE

EVERY GREAT CHANGE REQUIRES TIME,
PLANNING AND COMMITMENT.

IN 2018 WE INAUGURATED LINATE AIRPORT'S NEW FACADE, THIS YEAR WE HAVE RELAID THE RUNWAY AND THE BHS (BAGGAGE HANDLING SYSTEM). FROM 27 JULY TO 27 OCTOBER LINATE AIRPORT WAS CLOSED TO PASSENGER TRAFFIC TO CARRY OUT MAJOR INFRASTRUCTURE WORKS THAT HAVE IMPROVED ITS QUALITY, INCREASING THE LEVEL OF SECURITY AND SPEED DURING BAGGAGE CHECKS. BUT IT DOESN'T END HERE: BY THE FIRST HALF OF 2021, THE ENTIRE TERMINAL WILL BE CHANGED, WITH A COMPLETELY NEW DESIGN, THE RESULT OF AN IMPORTANT RESTYLING PROCESS. IN THE MEANTIME, WE CAN CONTINUE TO FLY AS BEFORE, MORE THAN BEFORE, FROM MILAN'S CITY AIRPORT.

MILAN HAS
NEVER STOPPED

Linate took a break for renovation work, but Milan never stopped flying thanks to Malpensa.

During these three months of closure, Malpensa has welcomed about 8 million passengers. Thanks also to their help, our intercontinental airport has been able to guarantee a level of service in line with Italian and, above all, Milanese airport standards.

It was a difficult challenge, but thanks to everyone's hard work, we can say that we have won!
