Malpensa is getting ready to give you the best welcome

For months Milano Malpensa has been preparing to welcome flights and passengers from Linate, during its period of closure, with more than 18 million euro of infrastructural investments: from the new check-in island to the new boarding gates, from the increase in security pre-filter access gates to the improvement in baggage handling (BHS).

These preparations, together with the work of the SEA colleagues, will enable Malpensa to withstand the unusual affluence of passengers due to the temporary closure of Linate.

From 27th July Milano Malpensa will be even more accessible

During the bridging stage, Malpensa will be more accessible due to the increase of connection services. This is a result of the joint commitment of the Municipality of Milan, the Lombardy Regional Authority and Trenord to facilitate the citizens of Milan and Lombardy during the three-month closure of Linate.
You are however advised to arrive early at the airport, choosing one of the many ways of getting there. Once you you are at Malpensa, you can enjoy its services at leisure before leaving.
Malpensa Express

Malpensa Express: double the trains

During the period of closure at Linate, the railway connection line between Milan and Malpensa will be reinforced with a doubling of all trains from and to Milano Centrale and Milano Cadorna.

Auto

Malpensa pays the A4 toll for you

You can reach Malpensa by car in two ways: the A4 and A8 motorways. For the duration of the three months’ closure of Linate, each of the motorways will inform and update on the travel time to Malpensa, so as to facilitate the choice of the fastest road to take in the shortest possible time. Moreover, for those using the A4 to reach Malpensa and using the airport’s official car parks, there will be a 100% refunding of motorway tolls (valid only for the Milan to Malpensa section).

Taxi

Share a taxi and save!

For the period of closure of Linate, the Municipality of Milan, in partnership with SEA, is promoting a special shared taxi service for point-to-point travel from and to Malpensa Airport, with a prefixed price of 95€ to be shared among the passengers using the service. The service pick-up points will be in via Gattamelata (in front of Gate n° 15 of the MiCo) and in via Sammartini (near the junction with via Schiapparelli, by the bus terminals for Milano Centrale - Milan Malpensa).

Bus

More buses at your service

Connecting buses from and to Milan will be improved, with a greater frequency in peak times.

Polizia Locale

We are improving viability

To improve viability in the environs of Malpensa and facilitate accessibility, during the period of closure of Linate there will be a greater presence of the Local Police from the districts close to the airport, as well as a stronger support from the Milan Municipal Police.
